GSPORT = gaming + sport. This is how the name for linking esports with subsequent physical activity was created.
In cooperation with the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of Charles University, the pilot year of the GSPORT league of universities took place.
A tournament in which students from 5 Czech and 5 foreign universities competed not only in esports games but also in sports disciplines.
Part of the online basic round, which had 5 game weeks (03/04 – 05/05/2023), included the above-mentioned physical activity. Students burned calories using the app we created and the STRAVA app. The goal was clear - to be the best - to burn as many calories as possible in 1 month through physical activity, whether running, swimming, cycling or any sport.
The top 2 teams from each group, a total of 4 universities, have advanced to the offline finals, which took place in Prague.
Due to the great success of the pilot season, we are launching the GSPORT League 2024!
On October 15, 2023, we will kick off the second season of the GSPORT League. Our goal is to run the league on a much larger scale.

The prizepool, which was €1,000 in the pilot season, will be increased to €10,000 next year.
